Jay works at Mayo Clinic in the financial department.

Interest in/Connection to Hockey:

Jay played for the Rochester Mustangs and captained the team to a national championship at the Junior A level. His number fifteen was retired after he received a scholarship to play at Lake Superior State. During his college career he captained his team to an NCAA national championship. Upon his return to Rochester, he has coached the Lourdes boys varsity, RYHA teams, and is currently the head coach of the John Marshall boys varsity team. His son is active in the RYHA.

Particular interest:

Jay is interested in teaching and coaching, and regularly participates in educational hockey events. Jay assisted on ice at the 2011 Rochester Safety Clinic organized and financed by the Rochester Hockey Foundation and co-sponsored by the Rochester Youth Hockey Association, Minnesota Hockey and the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center.
